Privacy policy

The short version: Mochi Genie has no account and no tracking. Your reminders, settings and history stay on your Mac.

In the Mac app

• Stored on your Mac only: your settings, reminders, break history and — if you turn time awareness on — how long you spent in the apps you chose to watch. None of it is uploaded.
• Time awareness is off until you switch it on. Then Mochi Genie notes which app is in front, only for the apps you picked. It never reads what's inside an app, and never sees websites, tabs, messages or files.
• Calls and fullscreen: to stay quiet, the app checks whether your microphone or camera is in use and whether an app is fullscreen. It never records or listens to anything.
• License checks: when you activate your license, and about once a week afterwards while online, the app sends your license key and this Mac's activation ID (plus your Mac's name, to label the activation) to Lemon Squeezy to confirm the license.
• No analytics in the app.

On this website

• No advertising or tracking cookies. If we enable visitor statistics, we use a privacy-friendly, cookieless service that counts visits without identifying you.
• Your cape choice and which version of the page you saw are remembered in your browser's local storage, only for this site.
• If you arrived from a campaign link, its source is passed to the checkout so we know which channels work. It's never combined with anything that identifies you outside your order.

Buying

Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our reseller and merchant of record. They process your payment and email details under their own privacy policy; we see your name, email and order, not your card.
